TeamTVM was created exactly 900 days ago, which means we have been playing for 10 seasons now, starting Season 52 Day46 (March 30th, 2020), in the context of the covid pandemic. Time to look back on what we have achieved so far !
S52 – Div11-Div7 – 243 pts – 3vic. 7res. – No jersey/trophy
On March 30th, 2020, a Dutch climbing team took off … soon to become a French one and move to Sprint, as our first talent from our Academy (and the only good one so far, 900 days later…) was Urmas Haapakoski, who was to become a major rider along the team journey from the lower divisions to div1.
S53 – Div7-Div4 – 637pts – 8vic. 15res. – 1 trophy
The team now competes in CL, SP and TT races, and Urmas Haapakoski achieves the outstanding amount of 6 victories during his first TF period, especially securing the overall win of the Cup of the Four Rivers , first trophy for our team.
At the end of season TeamTVM gets promoted as « Best Young Team ».
S54 – Div7-Div3 – 945 pts – 6vic. 17res. – No jersey/trophy
The team gets reinforced in SP and TT, especially as a strong but aging 295 HL-TTer becomes the most expensive transfer of the team : Lanzo Lagorsone joining for 165k. Haapakovski is the team’s main scoring rider, but Alfons Volek begins scoring in FR races, a discipline in which the team will try and develop later on. 731 points out of the 945 gets scored in 11 days at the end of season, propelling the team in div3.
TeamTVM secures a second « Best Young Team » award.
S55 – Div7-Div2 – 1178 pts – 9vic. 19res. – 2 jerseys
The team is very much active in SP, FR and TT, but now also targets it first Tours, as Lanzo Lagorsone manages to place 5th at Giro di Montelbano . The main target lies at the end of season, when the strongest possible team makes our first appearance at Fast on Wheels a complete success as Haapakovski gets the SC and Lagorsone the GC, our first two jerseys.
At season end, the team gets reinforced by the combined transfers of Lorenzo Abtato and Marzio Lagrasso, for a total amount of 352k. They will soon provide nice alternatives to Haapakovski for SPTQ and HLSP races. 940 points out of the 1178 gets scored in just 9 days at the end of season, propelling the team in div2.
TeamTVM secures a third and last « Best Young Team » award.
S56 – Div2-Div1 – 1714 pts – 1vic. 9res. – No jersey/trophy
TeamTVM enters the big leagues. While in Zyte division, the combined efforts of Lagrasso (6th at Grasse – Toulon and 4th at Nederlandse Tour GC), Abtato, Lagorsone (placing 5th at Cymru Taith ) and Volek enable TeamTVM to enter First division on March 28th, 2021, just two days short of one year of playing.
However, while scoring points is ok in div1 getting victories and even results proves much more difficult for our young team in Div1. To reduce the gap with the big teams, our team gets fully equipped for SP races : O9 frame, Zyte Times wheels, Z52 groupset are purchased.
We spot Leo Calderone on the Free HL as a 190SP talent with VG FR, and hire him for 32.5k…
S57 – Div2-Div1 – 1818 pts – 2vic. 15res. – 1 trophy
A season of consolidation of our SP/FR/HLSP team that sees Haapakovski make the most of a TF period to finish 3rd at Vejle-København and 3rd at Volta ao Porto SC, while Lagrasso’s TF period enables the team to secure its first Classic -and a French div 2 one !- Grasse – Toulon .
S58 – Div2-Div1 – 2715 pts – 8vic. 22res. – No jersey/trophy
This one is the best season in terms of points and results for the team. Haapakovski gets 2 TF periods during that season and is our first rider to reach 1000 pts in one season, while ending 2nd at Porto SC, 4th at Helsinki GP Mini and 6th at Vejle-København . Abtato and Lagrasso are strong contributors too to the team’s rally. The latter collects TeamTVM’s frst ever victory, Kentucky Moonshine Race at the end of season. This is also the season when Leo Calderone starts to score and gets its first div1 result.
At season end, team value reaches 2,380,000 $.
